What Is IonCleanse by AMD?

IonCleanse by AMD is a professional ionic foot-bath system manufactured by A Major Difference. The unit uses an array placed in warm salt water to create positively and negatively charged ions in the water.

AMD classifies IonCleanse as a non-medical wellness device. At South Coast Wellness, it is used to support relaxation and the body’s natural elimination processes, not to diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure disease.

A Grounded Approach

The water can change color during a session because of the salt, minerals in the water, interaction with the stainless-steel and copper array, and the electrolysis process itself. Water color is not used to diagnose what is happening in your body.

Your experience, response, and broader wellness picture are more important than the appearance of the water.

Understanding the Electrolysis Process

The IonCleanse array passes a controlled electrical current through warm, salted water. This drives electrolysis, producing gas bubbles and temporary changes in the water chemistry around the electrodes. The area near the cathode becomes more alkaline, while the area near the anode becomes more acidic. These reactions, together with the water source, added salt, naturally occurring minerals, and interaction with the array, help explain many of the visible changes that occur during a session.

Electrolysis explains changes occurring in the foot-bath water. By itself, it does not establish that a particular toxin has left the body, identify an organ or condition, or prove that substances have moved through the skin.

What to Expect During a Session

1

Forms and Safety Screening

After you book, Amy emails two forms to complete before your session: an IonCleanse release and safety screening, plus a baseline toxicity assessment. The assessment records the severity and frequency of concerns involving energy, sleep, focus, digestion, joint comfort, circulation, and skin health, creating a baseline you can compare over time.

2

Comfortable Foot Bath

Your feet rest in warm water with the IonCleanse array while you sit comfortably and relax.

3

Color Review and Education

During or after your session, Amy briefly reviews colors or particles that may appear and the traditional associations shown on AMD’s color chart. Because the water source, salt, minerals, array, and electrolysis all affect appearance, the chart is used as a conversation aid and not to identify toxins, organs, or disease.

What Amy Has Observed Over Thousands of Sessions

After facilitating thousands of IonCleanse sessions, Amy has seen that the water does not look the same from one person to another. The combination of colors, foam, rust tones, sediment, and flecks can vary significantly, even when the same professional system and process are used.

Water Patterns Vary

Some clients who already report gallbladder concerns have shown green tones alongside foam, rust, orange, brown, or dark flecks. Clients with joint concerns have sometimes produced deep orange and brown water with foam and dark flecks, but no green. Other clients who describe sluggish elimination or difficulty clearing waste may show red or dark flecks with orange and brown tones and little or no foam.

These are recurring practitioner observations, not a diagnostic system or proof that a particular color identifies a specific organ, toxin, or condition. Water source, salt, minerals, the array, and electrolysis also influence appearance.

What Clients Commonly Report

  • Feeling more relaxed, calm, or lighter
  • A clearer mind or improved sense of focus
  • Less joint pain or stiffness
  • Improved digestive comfort
  • Benefits noticed immediately or continuing for several days

These are anonymized summaries of client-reported experiences. Individual responses vary, and no specific result is guaranteed.

Why South Coast Wellness Uses AMD

Amy chose the AMD system because it is an established professional platform with practitioner education, operating guidance, and published company research.

Education Available During Your Visit

The AMD Toxin Awareness Guide and IonCleanse process overview are available to read during your visit. The guide provides general education about common environmental exposures and practical ways to reduce exposure through household products, personal-care choices, food, movement, sleep, and hydration.

The process overview explains electrolysis in the foot bath, including the creation of charged ions and small gas bubbles. It also presents a proposed theory involving ionic charge, osmosis, and diffusion. This background information is educational and is not evidence of a specific toxin, diagnosis, or clinical effect.

Research & Reports

For readers who would like to explore the available research materials, these two reports are provided in full. They are informational and should be read alongside their stated methods and limitations.

Heavy Metals Study: IonCleanse Sessions and Whole-Blood Levels

This 31-participant pre/post study evaluated IonCleanse sessions used twice weekly for 12 weeks alongside meditation and nutritional supplementation. Whole-blood aluminum and arsenic levels declined, while cadmium, lead, and mercury did not change significantly. The report notes that it had no control group and cannot establish causation.

Ionic Foot Baths in Lyme, Co-infections, and Co-morbidities

This five-person observational report followed ten 30-minute AMD foot-bath sessions over five weeks and describes changes in live-blood observations and participant-reported symptoms. It is a small exploratory report, not a controlled clinical trial.

Common Questions

Does the water color identify specific toxins?

No. The appearance of the water is influenced by the water, salt, array, and electrolysis process. It is not a diagnostic test.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no one-size-fits-all schedule. Frequency is based on your goals, response, sensitivity, and how IonCleanse fits into your broader plan.

Is IonCleanse a medical treatment?

No. IonCleanse by AMD is a non-medical wellness device and does not replace medical evaluation or treatment.

Is screening required?

Yes. After booking, Amy emails an IonCleanse release and safety screening plus a baseline toxicity assessment. Both forms are completed before your session so Amy can review appropriateness, relevant precautions, and your starting wellness concerns.
